Michael Gurn is ninety years of age and a retired detective sergeant of the Queensland Police Force. Michael served for twenty-three years, eighteen of those years were as a detective.
On resigning from the police force in 1975, he then trained racehorses for twenty-five years.
He then travelled Australia for six years as a metal detector.
He now lives alone on the Darling Downs, Queensland.

Anita Cunningham and Robin Bartram were art students, fresh out of high school and at the beginning of their adult lives. Hitchhiking for two weeks across Queensland to visit Robin’s parents at their pineapple plantation was an adventure they couldn’t refuse.
But in July of 1972, Anita and Robin, both 18 years of age, went missing. Months passed before the families of the young women received any news of their daughters.
Robin’s body was found in November 1972.
To this day, Anita’s whereabouts are unknown.
