Ted has also been involved with the history of machinery and has spent the last 53 years establishing a large historic machinery display at the Geelong Show. The Ormonds of Borriyalloak is his second book, following his debut work The Langlands

The life and times of one of Victoria’s great Scottish-born Australian pastoralists, member of parliament and a philanthropist in the areas of education and religion pioneers; meet Mr Francis Ormond.

With much to be credited to his name, Francis Ormond, the man, remains a mystery to many.

Inside the life of this forgotten pioneer is delved into and explored with authentic research and passion for the content of the subject.

Originating in a time of knighthoods and honours, Ormond lived a life without significance or recognition, giving much of his wealth to the betterment of the community.

Despite a life full of loss, Ormond had a profound impact on the building of education for the future generations and the culture of his work would evolve to many levels beyond his own history being told. A story of a loving family who left an indelible mark on the early Australia.

“Fantastic work, well researched, and an engagingly crafted story of a man profound as any historical persona of influence... Wonderful reading!” Doug, Readalot Reviewer
